Dear Dr. Friedler,

Thank you so much for making time to see my son Jeremy on a Monday.  I realize from the time slot that you probably squeezed him during your lunch break.  When I saw the damage to his two front teeth, I wanted you to take care of him- you are superb technically and you have the eye of an artist.  I wanted “the best” for Jeremy and that meant you.

I was always self-conscious about my smile.  My teeth were discolored and unattractive and earlier attempts to improve my smile with crowns and other dentistry failed to give me the beautiful teeth I wanted.  When I met Dr. Friedler he explained exactly what he could do to improve the appearance and health of my teeth.  Thanks to his exceptional work, I finally have a smile that not only looks fantastic but has improved the overall health of my teeth and gums.  I am thrilled with the results and for the first time in my life, I can smile with total confidence.

For years my teeth have been discolored.  I hardly smiled at all.  I felt like an old lady with rotten teeth.  I started going to Dr. Alan Friedler and he talked me into getting porcelain veneers.  What a difference! When he put on the temporary ones they were great.  Then he put on the permanent ones and they were fantastic! I felt like a new person.  I’m smiling all the time.  Thank you, Dr. Friedler!!

Dear Dr. Friedler,

Thank you so much for working around your busy schedule to attend to my broken tooth problem this past week.  I realize that you had many patients to see on your Monday agenda, and I know you went beyond the call of duty to schedule me into your morning.  I am most appreciative of your skill in fixing the problem until I could return home to my regular dentist, which I have since done.

Again, I am most grateful for your care and concern to treat an out-of-town visitor on such short notice.  In a rushed and frequently uncaring world, you made a big difference, and I will always remember it.

Benjamin T. Jordan, Associate Professor of the Practice

Dear Dr. Friedler,

You have achieved wonderful results thru extremely skillful dentistry following much time and multiple implants. Bravo!

I no longer want to bite the hand that drills me, even though now I can!

Thanks so much for your patience, kindness, and talent.

Having recently moved to Virginia after working with Dr. Alan Friedler for the better part of seventeen years, I’ve had some time to reflect on Dr. Friedler, the person, and his practice.

For as long as I’ve known him, Dr. Friedler has built his practice upon the concept of “Excellence Dentistry”.  A philosophy really, one that is the cornerstone in each phase of treatment for each and every patient he sees.

Beginning with his new patient exam, he spends a great deal of time just getting to know the person he is treating.  Then, following the most comprehensive and thorough clinical examination I’ve ever witnessed, he once again sits down and talks to his patient.  It’s during the initial visit that Dr. Friedler’s unique quality really surfaces; the time he takes to really listen to his patients’ questions and concerns- a quality that is most difficult to find in this day and age of managed care.

I have assisted Dr. Friedler in countless numbers of procedures.  His meticulous approach and attention to detail have left me with great respect for his talents and craftsmanship.  What comes from Dr. Friedler’s hands, in essence, is comparable to a work of fine art and cannot be compared to dentistry from the ‘dentist down the street’.  A beautiful smile is something that we all would like to have.  Dr. Friedler has reconstructed many a smile with outstanding results.

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Friedler.  He has taught me more than I could ever thank him for.  He is a fine person, a compassionate caregiver, my dear friend, and truly a Master in his field.

Dear Dr. Friedler,

I wanted to formally thank you for the beautiful work you did for me.  I can’t say that every visit was all fun and games, but your sense of humor and warm personality truly made it manageable and pleasant.

Your professionalism and that of your staff, and most importantly, your unwillingness to settle for anything less than perfection is most appreciated.  I can now smile and recommend you to anyone in need of a spectacular dentist.

With fondest regards,
Linda Epstein

I love my new veneers.  I finally have the smile I always wanted, despite previous extensive orthodontia.  My friends and family say I am smiling more often.

When I first went to Dr. Friedler my teeth had been grind down to almost nothing.  My tongue no longer fit comfortably in my mouth when closed and I also experienced trouble chewing which caused several choking events.

Dr. Friedler said he could help me and he did, in fact, he exceeded the expectation he had set.  Not only did I gain my functionality back, but I also received an esthetic Bonus; a “BEAUTIFUL SMILE”.

My dad had always told me to NEVER ignore your teeth.  He was so right…it was the best investment I have ever made.

I must also comment on how wonderful Dr. Friedler and his staff were to me.  They went out of their way to make sure I was always comfortable and also were very accommodating when making appointments due to my busy/unpredictable work schedule.

He has not seen the last of me.

Dr. Alan Friedler is a great dentist and doctor.  He thoroughly enjoys his work and would go out of his way to help his patients.  The veneer surgery he did on my teeth was simply superb, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Dear Dr. Friedler,

I just had to take a few moments to let you and your fabulous staff know how very pleased I am with my “new smile”.  I have received numerous compliments from my friends but most importantly, when I look in the mirror, I have something to really smile about!

A visit to the dentist was always a dreaded event in my life but you and your staff have changed that perception.  You were professional, positive, and caring and I especially enjoyed the added bonus of your musical performance!

Please extend my wishes to your staff for a joyous holiday season.  I know mine will be happier because of all of you.

Just a note and little something to say “thank you” for the incredible job you did on my bridge.

My family and friends have told me that they look so natural that they couldn’t have even guessed what they were until I told them.

Next to the numerous bottles of booze I’ve received, the bridges are the next best birthday present that I have gotten in a long time (although, I still preferred the booze.  Eighteen months of work was certainly no picnic).

Don’t worry.  I’ll take care of them.  I hope I don’t see you for another six months.  Nothing personal (or maybe it is.  What do I know, anyway) See ya in six.  And, again Thanks.

To Whom It May Concern:

I was at the crossroads of whether I needed to get false teeth, partial bridges, implants, or try to salvage my own teeth.  This was partially brought on by the work performed by our former dentist over the span of many years.  Not knowing my former dentist did not have our best interest in mind, I found out I needed extensive work and so did my family.

I found this out from the dentist who replaced my former dentist and took over his clientele.  That dentist was Alan Friedler DMD.  He pointed out the issues I had with my teeth, consulted with me and my husband, gave us what options we had, and explained the process and time it would take to achieve them.

I decided to salvage my own teeth.  I am glad I made that decision because Dr. Friedler did a wonderful job.  My whole family uses his practice which is light years ahead of my former dentist.  Alan Friedler is very knowledgeable in this field and I also believe teaches seminars to other dentists.  I would recommend him, his work, his friendly staff, and along with periodontal work, done by Dr. Cantner, who Alan Friedler collaborated with to give me a great smile.

Dear Dr. Friedler,

Words cannot express my gratitude to you for doing such a beautiful job on my veneers!  You are the best doctor and the finest artist in the world!

With a Million thanks to you,
Kang-i Sun Chang

Dear Dr. Friedler,

When I made my first appointment for a consultation with you, I had no idea what was in store for me.

I knew I needed some cosmetic work done, but did not realize the extent.

You were thorough in your examination of me, explicit in detail as to what needed to be done and what the expectation was.

During the procedures that were to be done, you explained everything and was always very conscientious of my comfort level.

In my wildest dream, I never expected the results to be as beautiful and “Natural” as they are.

You are truly an artist!

I must also commend your staff for their professionalism.  Everyone was always pleasant and kind and always made me feel comfortable.

I get continued compliments on my smile.  Most of the time, you get the credit, sometimes God does.  Ha…Ha…

Thank you,

Paula Grecco

For Dear Alan,

Profound thanks for your open-hearted generosity in installing my new bridge, which I love! I have teeth to flash now when I smile! I can chew food again! These are not small matters.

It is worth remembering in our troubled world that good and kind people outnumber all others by thousands to one.  You are one of those people.

Too often acts of kindness such as yours go unnoted.  I feel it is important to honor these kindnesses because they reaffirm the overwhelming weight of human decency.

You are a mensch beyond words!

Grateful thanks and much love,
Susan Dubrow

In 1961, I was diagnosed with a debilitating disease; Parkinsonism.  I was seen by a number of physicians at Hartford Hospital and began a daily regime of eighteen different medications.  By 1962, I was forced to retire because of my worsening condition.  During this time, my once beautiful teeth suffered the results of what Yale discovered was a misdiagnosis, and meds that were improperly prescribed.  My teeth were stained brown and yellow, (as though I had been eating mouthfuls of chocolate) were full of cavities, and also painful.  It made me ashamed to smile or eat in public.  A wonderful diagnostician referred me to what he called “the finest cosmetic dentist in Connecticut”, Dr. Alan Friedler.

I was immediately drawn to Dr. Friedler’s warm and friendly personality, and to his obvious knowledge as to how to bring my teeth back to a normal state.  We discussed the use of laminates and began a series of appointments.  After nearly a year of repair, I was fitted with “Hollywood Whites” on both my top and bottom teeth.  Looking in the mirror for the first time I was truly amazed!  There, again, was the big, beautiful smile I had been known for all of my life.  And back again was the feeling of self-esteem (that had been missing until Dr. Friedler regained it for me).

That was in 1996, and today I am still enjoying my laminates, and people still remark about my beautiful teeth, and I, of course, refer them to Dr. Friedler!  My daughter and her family are among his many patients and he is still my trustworthy dentist.  My laminates are going strong and still bring me a lot of joy.

I cannot recommend Dr. Friedler and his artistic dentistry more highly.  If you are looking for a cosmetic dentist, look no further.

Most sincerely,
Sandra Hennen

I first met Dr. Friedler in November of 2003, I had simply made an appointment for BriteSmile because I hated the way teeth looked and I thought that bleaching them would make some sort of difference.  I had always been self-conscious of my teeth ever since I had a dentist that used bonding material to make them appear straighter when I was a teenager.  After that experience, my teeth never looked quite right and over time my teeth appeared yellow as the material stained.  When I saw Dr. Friedler about the BriteSmile, he took the time to talk to me about other options I would have to get the smile of my dreams.  I honestly wanted to believe him, but I had my doubts since I lived with the teeth that made me feel I wanted to hide for quite some time.  Dr. Friedler has encouraged me to set up a complimentary consult to discuss my options.

Dr. Friedler presented me with a few reasonable alternatives, but he was honest and told me that if I wanted perfection I should consider seeing an orthodontist to straighten the roots and then see him for veneers.  Dr. Friedler was always upfront about the time, commitment, and costs to create my dream smile, this was a quality about him that I have come to appreciate.  While as an adult most people, myself included, would never want to wear braces but Dr. Friedler assured me that if I did follow his recommendation I would not be disappointed.  He was right!

During the entire process of straightening my teeth in anticipation for the veneers, Dr. Friedler worked closely with my orthodontist.  I was impressed at Dr. Friedler’s attention to detail and ability to coordinate with the orthodontist.  Dr. Friedler was with me every step of the process.  There were times when I was frustrated and ready to give up, but dr. Friedler was always there to comfort and reassure me that the end result was going to be worth everything.  That is the thing about Dr. Friedler; he has a great bedside manner in addition to his technical skills.  He helped support me through the phase in braces, made sure that attention was given to every detail, and kept in constant contact with my orthodontist to ensure they were both on the same page with what needed to get done.

My braces came off and my veneers went on in July of 2005.  I was truly amazed at the results.  Everything Dr. Friedler had promised was true.  My teeth looked natural, they were straight, and they were a healthy shade of white (which he talked me into b/c I really wanted “chiclet white,” a request he must get often, but he took the time to explain how “chiclet white” would look unnatural).  As always, despite my arguing with Dr. Friedler over things I thought would look best (like chiclet colored teeth) he proved he knew best and made sure I didn’t make a wrong decision.  Dr. Friedler gave me a smile that I love.  I am now proud to smile with my teeth showing rather than hiding them as I did for so many years.  I feel blessed to have found Dr. Friedler; my only regret is that I wish I had found him sooner.  That’s okay though, because at least I did find him.  If you are reading this, you have found Dr. Friedler too.  I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and Dr. Friedler will give you the smile of your dreams.
